Set up your Canon printer on any device.
Follow our step-by-step guide

Unbox and Prepare the Printer
- Discard all packaging, tapes and other protective materials from the printer.
- Connect the power cord and switch on the printer.
- Install the cartridges for ink as in the directions included.
⚠️ Important
Check that there is no packaging material within the printer prior to turning it on.

Load Paper
- Open the tray for paper input.
- Change the paper guides to fit the dimensions of the paper.
- Place plain paper in the tray and then secure the tray.

Install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY App
- Install this Canon PRINT app on your tablet or smartphone
- Make sure that your gadget is on the exact Wi-Fi connection as the one you plan to use with your printer.

Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi Using Canon App
- Open the Canon PRINT app
- Choose "Add Printer" and follow the instructions in the app.
- Select the Wi-Fi network you want to use and enter the password in order to complete the configuration

Alternative Connection Methods
🔒 WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup)
- Click the WPS button on your Wi-Fi router
- Within two minutes, hold and press the Wi-Fi button on the printer until the Wi-Fi light blinks
- Allow the connection to be established.
🔌 Wired Ethernet Connection
- Use with an Ethernet cable from your printer to the router.
- The printer will automatically connect in the event that the network settings are correct.
🔗 USB Connection
- Make sure your printer is connected to your computer with a USB cable
- Install Canon's drivers on their website or download the Canon application to finish the installation

Reset Network Settings (If Needed)
- Hold and press on the button for a few seconds until your power light blinks
- Click the "Black" or "Color" button once, and then press hit the Wi-Fi button once more.
- The Wi-Fi light will flash to indicate that the printer is set up

This step is only necessary when you're experiencing connectivity issues or you need to reset the network configuration.
